To find a sewer line, we run a sewer camera, which has a sonic locator on the end of it. We use a handheld wand to find the sonic locator. The device will show the precise location and depth of the line.
A sewer line clean-out looks like a round cap in the ground, and is a minimum of 3″-4″ tall. It can also be found in a plastic box for protection.
